Toms Table, a new French-inspired bistro off Lowergate in Clitheroe, opened in the midst of the Covid pandemic in July 2020. The eponymous Head Chef Tom Drinkall hails from a local farming family and has returned to his Clitheroe roots after working in top kitchens around the world. The building, formerly a gym, has two floors and an outside area and is open Tuesday to Saturday for Lunch, Afternoon Tea and Dinner, including an Early Bird menu available from 5pm-6pm.
The Food
The menu is French-influenced with dishes such as Provençale Vegetable Gratin with Gruyere cheese & allotment herb pesto to start and Coq Normandy with smoked bacon, cider, leeks & pomme rosti and Tom’s Seafood Chowder with fresh fish & shellfish in a saffron & smoked bacon cream, new potatoes, sweetcorn & Tom’s soda bread. Fish features prominently on the menu along with vegan, veggie and gluten-free options. Toms Table is fully licensed with 22 wines on the list and 10 available by the glass.
